AMI Assistants Adjunct Course

The AMI Assistants Adjunct course serves as a practical extension to the AMI Orientation, offering participants hands-on experience as a Montessori assistant and the chance to acquire AMI certification.

Course Eligibility

  • Open to individuals who have completed the relevant level of AMI Orientation or AMI Assistants Course.

  • Designed for those currently working or aspiring to work as Montessori Assistants, aiming to provide practical insights and recognition for their assisting experience through online sessions and assessment by an AMI-trained teacher.

Course Highlights

  • Detailed exploration of the Assistant's role in a Montessori setting under the direction of an AMI Diploma holder.

  • Development of effective collaboration with lead educators, establishment of respectful relationships with children, and application of pedagogical methods in a Montessori environment.

Study Components

  • 8 hours of live online training sessions followed by 12 hours of practical engagement in an AMI Montessori prepared environment under the supervision of an AMI Diploma holder at the relevant age level.

  • AMI Assistants Adjunct 3-6: Scheduled online sessions on 4th, 6th, 11th, and 13th March 2024.

  • AMI Assistants Adjunct 0-3: Online sessions planned for 24th and 26th June, as well as 1st and 3rd July 2024.

Course Fee: £115

  • International Students: Welcomed; course can be undertaken from anywhere globally, although live online sessions operate on UK time.

Qualification Obtention Requirements

  • Attainment of a minimum 90% attendance rate during online sessions.

  • Completion of 12 hours of practical experience evaluated by an AMI Diploma Holder.

  • Fulfillment of the material-making project.
